Transacting with Revolut Register
On Revolut Register, transacting works exactly like it does in Revolut POS, and the payment module adapts to how you sell.
Making a sale
Processing a sale follows the same flow as Revolut POS: add products, finalise the order, then pick a payment method. You consult these FAQs to learn more.
Once you select credit/debit card at checkout, where the payment goes depends on how you use your register
- It can be sent to the payment module
- It can be sent to your Revolut Terminals in Pay at counter mode. See this FAQ
Checking out with the payment module
- Attached to the main register, the payment module is the payment device
- When detached, it runs Revolut POS software as the main register and takes card payments from the selling screen
- Detach it and switch to pay at counter mode to use it like a Revolut Terminal, finalising payments on its own. See these FAQs
The module takes chip and PIN, contactless, and Revolut Pay with Smile, where a customer approves by looking at the device. Customers can also use Google Pay and Apple Pay. Revolut Registers support all major card providers including Mastercard, Visa, and Amex.
Revolut Pay with Smile
Revolut Pay with Smile is an authentication method for Revolut Pay payments. Customers who choose it can authenticate with just their face, without presenting a card or mobile.
Customers select it on the module's screen and the module authenticates them. If not registered, customers can enable it in the Revolut app with a push notification. If the authentication is unclear, the customer is prompted to enter their 4-digit pin code for safety.
