What should I provide to verify my nature of business?

Verifying your business activities

During onboarding and regular account checks, we need to verify your nature of business. You can learn more about our unsupported industries in this FAQ in our Help Centre. As part of your nature of business verification, you'll be asked to:

  • Provide a detailed description of the products and services your business offers. Make sure your description is as specific as possible
  • Select the category and subcategory that aligns the most with the type of products and services your business offers

Your description should align with what was declared on Companies House. If you need to change your activity on Companies House, visit this page.

Accepted proof of nature of business

We may ask you to provide a proof of your nature of business. The documents you provide should clearly indicate your business' products and services and must align with the description of your nature of business. Submit one of the following:

  • An active website link. Learn more in this FAQ
  • An invoice with matching bank statement. It must be in the business' name and dated within the last 6 months. Learn more in this FAQ

Additional information requested

If we need additional information about your nature of business, our team may reach out to you with a set of questions requiring your input. You can learn more in this FAQ.

If you're a holding company, you'll need to provide a full list of subsidiaries in which your company owns more than 25%. You'll also need to disclose their nature of business (along with the relevant supporting documents) and their country of incorporation. You can learn more in this FAQ.

How long will the verification take?

The verification process can take up to 5 business days. After this timeframe, if you haven't received an email from us confirming your verification is completed, check your 'Home' menu in the Revolut Business app to make sure you have no pending requests for information.

If your company was registered within the last 6 months and you don't have any of the proof documents listed below, see this FAQ.
