Making Bizum payments

When you’re making a payment to an online merchant, select Bizum as the mode of payment and enter the relevant details on the merchant’s website. Once you’ve entered the details, you'll receive a push notification from your Revolut app to confirm the payment request.

Bizum can only be linked to one bank account at a time. Currently, Bizum doesn't support linking multiple bank accounts.

How do I send transfers via Bizum?

  • In the Revolut mobile app, go to 'Home' on the bottom menu
  • Below your balance, tap 'Bizum'
  • Choose the transfer amount and select a recipient from your contact list
  • Tap 'Send'

Alternatively, you can:

  • Go to 'Payments' on the bottom menu
  • Tap the plus sign in the top-right corner
  • Enter the recipient's phone number
  • Choose the transfer amount
  • Tap 'Send'

How do I request funds via Bizum?

In the Revolut mobile app:

  • Go to 'Home' on the bottom menu
  • Below your balance, tap 'Bizum'
  • Tap 'Request'
  • Select a contact from your contact list
  • Choose the transfer amount
  • Tap 'Continue' and then 'Request'

Why is my Bizum transfer pending?

Transfers between Revolut customers via Bizum are almost always instant. If the transaction is pending, then it’s likely the recipient's phone number isn't linked to a Bizum account. In that case, the beneficiary will receive a text message notifying them about the payment.

To complete the transaction, the beneficiary needs to create a Bizum account with that phone number within 7 days. If the phone number isn’t linked after 7 days, the payment will be automatically reverted.
