Why did my identity verification fail?
If your ID verification fails, you'll see a message on your in-app 'Home' screen outlining the reason. Common reasons for failed identity verification include:
- Unsupported, outdated, or invalid documents submitted
- Details on the documents don't match your application (e.g., name, date of birth, nationality)
- Blurry, cropped, or unclear photos of documents
- Scans, photocopies, or watermarked documents
- Handwritten documents uploaded
- Selfies or video-selfies didn't meet requirements (e.g., poor lighting, no audio, or incorrect angle)
- Another person visible in the selfie apart from yourself. The selfie must be taken by yourself

Photo or video verification not working
Make sure your device settings allow camera and microphone access for the Revolut Business app, and you're using the latest app version. For website applications, enable access in your browser settings.
If problems persist, clear your cache, try a different web browser, or reinstall the mobile app.
I'm not a resident in the country of my business
See which countries you may reside in to open an account with us in this FAQ. You can still reside in other eligible countries, and you must provide a valid residence permit. If you don't have a valid residence permit, then you can't open a Business account with us.
