Economic indicators in Global Markets feature

Gross domestic product (GDP)

The monetary value of all goods and services produced in an economy annually.

Inflation rate

The average change in the price paid by customers for a basket of goods and services in a given month compared with its price in the same month of the previous year.

Interest rate

The rate at which the central bank of an economy lends money to domestic banks, influencing the general structure of interest rates in the economy.

Retail sales

The year-over-year change in the aggregated sales of retail goods and services during a certain month to the same month of the previous year.

Unemployment rate

The percentage of the total labour force that's unemployed but actively seeking employment. We cover 8 countries and regions: Australia, China, Eurozone, France, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
