What is BPAY and how do I use it?
BPAY is a convenient and secure way to pay bills in Australia.
How to make a BPAY payment
- Go to 'Payments' on the bottom menu
- Tap + in the top-right corner
- Tap ‘BPAY’
- Enter the biller code, reference number, and optional label
- Tap ‘Continue’
- Choose the transfer amount
- Tap ‘Continue’
- Review the transfer, then tap 'Send'
How to schedule a BPAY payment
- Go to 'Payments' on the bottom menu
- Tap + in the top-right corner
- Tap ‘BPAY’
- Enter the biller code, reference number, and optional label
- Tap the calendar icon
- Select a start date and repeat cycle
- Tap ‘Set schedule’
- Tap ‘Schedule payment’
- Choose the transfer amount
- Tap ‘Continue’
- Review the transfer, then tap 'Send'
You can't schedule a BPAY transfer if the biller is using a variable reference number, which is unique for every bill payment.
Common reasons for BPAY errors
- Biller code is not valid: check the biller code is accurate, or contact the biller
- Amount is not valid: check the amount is accurate, or contact the biller
- Request is invalid: check the biller code and reference number is accurate
- Reference number is not valid: check the reference number is accurate, or contact the biller
- Payment date is incorrect: contact the biller
