To exchange money and cryptocurrencies automatically, you can use <a href="revolut://app/price-actions" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Limit or Stop Orders</a>. Stop and Limit Orders are orders to buy or sell once the price of the asset reaches a specified price.<ul><li>Stop Order: When the Stop Price is reached, Stop orders are executed at the closest available price (which can be lower or higher than the Stop Price).</li><li>Limit Order: Buy Limit orders will be executed at the specified price or lower, while Sell Limit Orders will be executed at the specified price or higher.</li></ul>

How to make currency exchanges?

How do I exchange money automatically?

To manage all your currency orders, go to the home tab in your app → under your transaction list, press 'See all' → select Upcoming. Here you will have a full list of all your <a href="revolut://app/price-actions" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Orders</a>.To cancel a currency order, access the '<a href="revolut://app/price-actions" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Orders</a>' list, then swipe on a pending order to bring up the 'delete' option. Alternatively, tap once to access the order summary screen, where you'll be able to cancel your order.

How can I manage my currency orders?

Your Home currency (AUD) It's the "main” currency of your profile, linked to your address, Home currency affects many parts of the app which are connected with limits and fees. If the base currency is changed all the fees and limits will also change and will be charged in base currency from that moment.Please note that the only way to change your Home currency will be to update your address, however, there are certain limitations for address changes, please refer to '<a href="revolut://app/faq?key=question.how-do-i-change-my-country-of-residence" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">How do I change my country of residence?</a>' FAQ for more information.

Can I choose my home currency?

Croatia discontinued the Kuna currency and adopted the EUR as its official currency on the 1st of January 2023.As a result, we no longer provide services supporting Kuna from the 12th of December 2022. All regular fees payable for subscriptions, transactions, services, etc., are being charged in EUR instead of Kuna.There are no changes to our T&amp;Cs in relation to how fees are calculated and charged, so you won't get charged any additional costs as a result of this currency change.Your Kuna account has been closed, and any remaining Kuna balances held by you has been converted to EUR.If you held any Kuna balance with us, your account balance should have been converted to Euros automatically at a fixed rate of 7.53450 Kuna per Euro. This should have happened automatically, and we have not changed your unique account number.<ul><li>If you didn't have an EUR account with us, a new EUR account should have been created automatically for you</li><li>If you had an EUR account with us, your remaining Kuna balance should have been converted to EUR and added to this existing account.</li></ul>If you didn't hold any Kuna balance with us this change won't impact you directly, but note that this currency is no longer supported by Revolut.

Why was Kuna support discontinued by Revolut?

In addition to your home currency (AUD), you can have multiple currency accounts. Complete the following steps to set these up:<ul><li>Go to your app's <a href="revolut://app/wallet" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">home</a> screen</li><li>Tap the arrow next to your current balance</li><li>Select '+ New'</li><li>Choose your desired currency from the list.</li></ul>If the currency you're looking for isn't listed, it doesn't mean you can't make transactions with it. How do I open a currency account?

You can see all relevant fees in-app:<ul><li>Before making an exchange: You'll be able to review any applicable fees for the exchange before completing it.</li><li>After the exchange is completed: In the transaction history, by selecting the exchange you want to check the fees.</li></ul>Additionally, you can see the fee of every card payment or ATM withdrawal that had a currency exchange. In the <a href="revolut://app/transaction-list" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">transaction list</a>, select the payment or withdrawal you wish to check, if there was a fee charged, it'll be shown on one of the exchange actions.

How can I check which fees were applied for my currency exchange?

A fair usage limit is a predetermined threshold set by Revolut which cumulatively applies to any exchanges made in-app. This includes money currencies, cryptocurrencies, and precious metals.  These limits are set on a rolling month basis, meaning that it will reset on the day your account was set or the day you changed your plan type.You can check your applicable fair usage limit and the date it will reset in ‘<a href="revolut://app/plan" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Your plan</a>’ section on your profile.Depending on your plan, you’ll have the following Fair usage limit and fee per exchange once you exceed it:<ul><li>Standard: A$2,000 limit and a fee of 0.5% when exceeded.</li><li></li><li>Premium: A$20,000 limit and a fee of 0.5% when exceeded.</li><li>Metal: No fair usage limits.</li></ul>

What is a fair usage limit?

Fair usage limits are cumulative across exchanges for fiat currencies, cryptocurrencies, and precious metals.Aside from the fair usage limit, regular fees will continue to apply for <a href="revolut://app/faq?key=question.how-much-does-it-cost-to-buy-or-sell-cryptocurrency" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">crypto</a> and <a href="revolut://app/faq?key=question.how-much-does-precious-metals-exposure-cost-and-how-is-it-calculated" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">commodities</a> exchanges.

What exchanges are caught by the fair usage limit?

Exchange rates are determined based on the foreign exchange market data feeds that we get from a range of different independent sources.Depending on your plan, you'll have a monthly allowance of exchanges without Revolut fees, and a fee per transaction for exceeding these limits, the allowances, and fees are as follows:<ul><li>Standard: A$2,000 and a fee of 0.5% when exceeded.</li><li>Premium: A$20,000 and a fee of 0.5% when exceeded.</li><li>Metal: Unlimited exchange allowance.</li></ul>These allowances will reset in a rolling month basis, meaning that the limit will reset on the day your account was created or when a change of plan occurred. To verify your current allowance and when it's going to reset, please visit the '<a href="revolut://app/plan" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Plan</a>' section in your profile.Additionally, we charge a 1% fee per exchange during the weekends (between 5PM New York time on Friday and 6PM New York time on Sunday) This fee will be applied regardless of your plan.The rate and potential fees can be reviewed before completing an exchange from the app or when making a transfer.Check our <a href="https://www.revolut.com/legal/fees/?geo-redirect=true" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Terms &amp; Conditions</a> for a full breakdown of your fees.

Exchange rate for my fiat currency exchange is wrong

There are several reasons why your Orders might fail, here are the most common:Low balancesAt the time an order will be triggered it's necessary to have sufficient balance in your account. If there is not enough balance, the order will be failed and cancelled, and, it will be necessary to add the necessary funds and create a new order.Daily exchange limitFor security reasons we limit the amount of exchanges/Orders to 100 in a 24-hour period. If an order is triggered and you have exceeded this limit, it will fail and you will need to wait for the next day before creating a new one.Crypto transaction amount limitFor security reasons only USD$100,000 worth of crypto can be exchanged in any individual exchange. If you attempt to exchange more than this amount the order will fail.Locked accountIf your account is locked for any reason, for security reasons orders are not executed until your account is unlocked. Once unlocked, your order will be executed the next time the specified rate for the pair is reached. You would not need to re-submit it.Deactivated Currency AccountIf you set up an exchange order for a currency, and the specific currency account hasn't been created or was deactivated, the order will fail and will be cancelled. Please make sure the currency account is open. Check our '<a href="revolut://app/faq?key=question.how-do-i-open-a-currency-account" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">How do I open a currency account?</a>' FAQ for more info.Price slippageSlippage only applies to the order types: Market Order and Stop Order, which are executed at the market rate. In a very volatile market, the current rate of the currency pair might have moved significantly in between the time your order level is hit, and the time the execution is attempted, even though this time window is very small. In this case, execution will not occur if the current rate has moved more than 0.75% for fiat or 5.0% for crypto from either side of your target value. Order execution will be attempted again once your target value is hit again by the current rate.If the market is particularly volatile, your target value might have shifted in the brief window between the target value being hit, and the exchange being performed. If the rate moves more than 0.75% on either side of your target value for fiat currencies, we won’t carry out your order. Once your target value hits again, we’ll re-attempt the exchange.Also, it's possible the currency exchange rate you're trying to set up is changing so significantly, that by the time it actually reaches the desired rate, it has already changed. In that case, we might not perform the exchange.

Why might my currency order fail or not execute?

If you've recently made an exchange, but can't find your funds, it's likely that your currency account is inactive.To activate the currency account, please follow these steps:<ul><li>Go to your app's<a href="revolut://app/wallet" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"> home screen</a></li><li>Tap the arrow next to your current balance</li><li>Tap '+ New'</li><li>Select your destination currency from the list</li></ul>

I just made an exchange, but I can't find my money. Where is it?

Unfortunately, it's not possible to cancel currency exchanges, once the exchange has been completed. The only way to revert it is to make a new exchange.If you can't find the funds from your exchange, please go to the <a href="revolut://app/wallet" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">accounts section</a>, and tap on the arrow next to your current balance. Here, you'll see a list of your active currency accounts.
