Getting started with purchase insurance
Revolut purchase insurance is a benefit of Plus, Premium, Metal, and Ultra plans. This insurance includes damage and theft protection, return protection, and event ticket cancellation protection.
Not every incident is covered under purchase insurance. Make sure your item or event fits the criteria outlined in the T&Cs to ensure it’s covered.
What’s covered under purchase insurance
Damage and theft protection offers cover for repair or replacement costs if an item bought with your Revolut account is stolen or accidentally damaged. More details can be found in this FAQ.
Return protection covers you when you want to return an item bought with your Revolut account and the retailer doesn't accept it. To be eligible, the item must be unused and purchased within the last 90 days. More details can be found in this FAQ.
Event ticket cancellation covers you if you can't attend an event due to specific unforeseen circumstances, as outlined in the T&Cs. Read more in this FAQ.
What are the conditions and limitations?
- Cover is only for new items purchased from authorised retailers, not private sellers
- Cover excludes pre-owned or refurbished items
- Items must be paid for in full using your Revolut account. Items bought through instalment plans, or a non-Revolut account, aren't covered
- Mobile phone coverage is limited to one claim per year
- Eligible purchases made with your Revolut account are automatically covered, according to the T&Cs. You don't need to declare purchases
Purchase insurance doesn't cover transportation disruptions. Items that are lost or not delivered, or broken or defective when they arrive, aren't covered.
How to check your coverage
This is only a summary of the coverage. Revolut's purchase insurance is provided through Qover, not Revolut itself. Qover is responsible for policy terms, conditions, and claim handling.
