Settling up in Group Bills

Settle with Revolut users

You can settle directly with Revolut users by sending money to their Revolut account.

There are no transfer fees when making transfers between Revolut customers. Most currencies and countries have no limits. However, if any exchange fees or transfer limits apply to your transfer, we'll show you before you send money in the app.

You can also record payments made outside Revolut using the 'Mark as paid' functionality. No funds move through Revolut in this case - this option is for tracking purposes only.

You owe a non-Revolut user

If you need to pay a non-Revolut user:

  • Tap 'Settle up' in the group
  • Select the non-Revolut user, and tap 'Send'
  • A payment link will be created and an email will be sent to the recipient with the link
  • They can claim the payment by adding their bank or card details
  • Once the payment is claimed, the settlement will automatically be recorded

The payment link expires 7 days after it is created. If the link is not claimed, funds will be reverted to your account, and the settlement will not be recorded. You can also record payments made outside Revolut using the 'Mark as paid' functionality.

You are owed by a non-Revolut user

Non-Revolut users can settle the amounts they owe you by making one-time card payments.

Some transactions may fail if payment limits are exceeded, or the card used is not supported.

Revolut cannot make any exceptions or manually process these payments. You can settle these payments outside Revolut and record them in the group using 'Mark as paid' functionality.
