Freeze a card

If you've lost your card, or you suspect it was compromised or notice suspicious transactions, freezing your card can protect your money and account. It prevents unauthorised use and allows us to look into the situation while knowing your account is secure.

How to freeze a card

  • Go to 'Home' on the bottom menu of the Revolut mobile app
  • Tap the card icon in the top-right corner
  • Choose the card you wish to freeze
  • Tap 'Freeze'

While the card is frozen, any card payments attempted with this card will fail. To unfreeze the card, tap 'Unfreeze' by following the same steps you used to freeze it.

Alternative steps

  • Tap your profile icon in the top-left corner
  • Select Security and 'Lost card'
  • Select a card and tap 'Freeze'
