Your global debit card is primarily designed for international use. While you can use it for purchases in foreign currencies within Brazil (such as at duty-free stores in airports), most transactions in BRL will be declined.

In some rare cases, BRL transactions can be successful. When this happens, we'll deduct funds in non-BRL currencies at commercial rates. If you receive refunds for these transactions, we’ll prioritise refunds in BRL, but they might also be processed in non-BRL currencies.
