Limits and deposits rules for secure credit cards

Increasing or decreasing secured credit card limits

Your secured credit card limit will be equal to your collateral deposit amount. For this reason, if you want to increase or decrease your secured credit card limit, you'll need to increase or decrease your collateral deposit amount to the desired new limit.

You can't lower your credit limit below your current outstanding balance, above the maximum limit (R$10,000), or below the minimum limit (R$300).

Set your limit with a security deposit | Your personal maximum limit is determined by our credit analysis, up to R$10,000. Minimum deposit is R$300.

Collection from security deposit in case of default

If you fail to fulfil your credit card repayment, we may use your collateral deposit to repay the card account balance. This will occur a few days after your missed payment. You’ll remain responsible for any additional balance owed on the account.

Security deposit restrictions

Your credit card balance affects the amount of money you can withdraw from the security deposit. You can only withdraw the amount matching the available credit limit.

You can't fully withdraw your collateral deposit if you have missed a monthly repayment. Once your secured credit card account payments are up to date, you'll be able to fully withdraw it.

The security deposit must keep at least the minimum amount of R$300. For example, if your credit limit is R$1,000 with a R$1,000 deposit and you use R$200, you can withdraw only R$700. Your remaining deposit will be R$300, so your credit limit will be reduced to the minimum of BRL 300.
