What is BC Protege+?

BC Protege+ is a protection feature from the Central Bank of Brazil that lets you block new financial accounts or products from being opened with your Cadastro de Pessoas Físicas (CPF). When active, no institution can open a new account in your name.

Why this blocks your account request

Your account request didn’t go through because your CPF has BC Protege+ enabled — this block applies to all banks and fintechs and prevents new accounts from being created until you change this setting.

What you can do to open an account

You can review or update your BC Protege+ protection through the Central Bank’s Meu BC portal using your gov.br login details.

If you adjust or disable the protection, you can return to our app and try opening your account again.
