Trouble with selfie verification for Wealth Protection

The selfie must be a 'live' picture — meaning one that's taken in the moment, rather than a scan or a picture of an existing photo. The selfie must be taken by you and you should be the only person that appears in it.

Steps to follow when taking the selfie

  • Find good lighting, remove any face coverings (like glasses or hats)
  • In your device's settings, approve access to your camera for the Revolut app
  • Move your face into the oval in the middle of the screen, then wait until the oval turns green
  • Press the image capture button to take a photo (or the photo may be taken automatically)
  • Double-check all of the selfie requirements are met
  • Hit 'Confirm' and continue with the transaction

If the selfie verification fails

If we're unable to verify your identity for Wealth Protection, you'll automatically be connected to chat.

If we suspect it's not you, we'll apply temporary limitations to your account to protect your security.

What to do if your account has limitations

  • Follow the in-app prompts to provide any missing information
  • Make sure any uploaded documents are clear, valid, and not expired
  • Have recent transaction documents ready for potential verification
