Closure steps

  • Go to Invest on the bottom menu in the Revolut app
  • Select 'More' on the right
  • Tap 'Settings'
  • Select 'Close Brokerage account'

You need to follow this process and close the account manually, as selling the assets to bring your balance to zero won’t automatically close the account.

You'll get statements for your closed account in an account closing email, and can also request them via our in-app chat. If you've closed your Brokerage account, and you're still eligible, you can re-open a Brokerage account. It won't be linked to your previous transactions.

As selling assets may trigger capital gains or losses, you should carefully consider the potential tax consequences of closing your Brokerage account. Revolut doesn't advise on tax-related matters. If you need advice, we recommend contacting a financial adviser.
