Manage eat-in courses on Revolut POS

The POS 'Course management' feature organises 'Eat-in' orders by serving sequence (i.e. starters, mains, desserts). This ensures the kitchen receives dishes in the right order, and is ideal for plated service restaurants.

This feature is not available on the Android app.

Enable courses on Revolut POS web portal

Courses must be enabled at the location level in the web portal to appear in iOS apps. To enable and set up courses:

  • Go to 'Settings'
  • Select 'Location'
  • Select 'Store' and then 'Courses'
  • Turn on 'Enable coursing'
  • Optionally, tap a course name to rename it
  • Assign categories to a course for automatic product allocation
  • To delete a course, tap 'Delete'
  • Optionally, reorganise the order by long-pressing and dragging courses

Course management

Start by assigning products to courses. Items from categories linked to a course will sort automatically, while unassigned ones go to 'Now'. Rearrange items with drag & drop, or tap items and select 'Move product to another course'. You can also tap a course first, and then pick your products.

Next, send the entire order to the kitchen by tapping the fire icon. Sent items will show an orange icon, and the course collapses to keep things tidy. You can still add new items anytime, even to courses that have already been sent.

Control kitchen flow with the bell icon next to each course header. Tap it to print a 'Course name away' ticket, like 'Mains away' – this tells the kitchen it's time to start that course.
