Dispute a Direct Debit

If you spot an error in a Direct Debit charge, we recommend contacting the merchant directly. They're usually able to resolve difficulties with Direct Debits.

If the solution provided by the merchant isn't acceptable, you can dispute the Direct Debit.

Disputing a Direct Debit:

  • In EUR: You have the right to request an immediate refund within 8 weeks from the date your account was debited. If the mandate relating to the Direct Debit wasn't authorised by you, you can request a refund up to 13 months after the date your account was debited
  • For SEPA B2B Direct Debits, the debtor doesn't have refund rights, but you can raise a dispute through Dispute Resolution Committee (DRC) within the European Payments Council (EPC) Board. You can find more information in EPC rulebook
  • In GBP: You may be eligible to receive a refund under the UK Direct Debit Guarantee scheme

To use both cancellation options, contact us. To cancel future debits from the merchant, follow these instructions.
