Income Sorter is a money management tool that automatically organises your income into different accounts and Pockets once it enters your personal account.

After you've set up how you’d like your income to be distributed, we’ll automatically sort it into the right places every time you're paid. Income Sorter supports:

• One-time distributions: chosen amounts will be distributed as set by you on your next payday
• Recurring distributions: the same amounts will be applied every payday, unless you change them

Income Sorter first recognises your income and then distributes it into supported accounts as designated by you. See below for more details on each step:

• Recognises the transaction: our Income Sorter tool will recognise your income based on the transaction details. This tool recognises the payer (e.g. your employer), the amount (with up to 20% variation), and the description of the transaction you want to sort
• Supported accounts: income can be sorted into Joint accounts, Savings accounts, and Pockets, once they’re in the same currency as your personal account

There are a few different ways to set up Income Sorter:

• By tapping the transaction you want to sort
• From within a Savings account or Pocket
• From 'Tools' in the analytics and budgeting section — only recurring distributions can be set up from here

You’ll need to choose how to sort and distribute your income before the sorter is activated. You can only sort one recurring income per personal account.

• Go to the income transaction (e.g. your salary payment coming into your account) and tap it
• Choose 'Go to Income Sorter'
• Alternatively, go to the home screen of your Savings account or Pocket and tap 'Sort your income'. You can also go to 'Tools' within the analytics and budgeting section
• Tap 'Disable' to disable the sorting

You can also edit the distribution or select a different main income transaction to modify the sorter.
