What personal data do I need to provide to create a Revolut account?

To open an account with Revolut, we'll need the following details:

  • Name
  • Phone number
  • Date of birth
  • Email address
  • Country of residence
  • Home address
  • Valid identity documents
  • A 'selfie' photo, video and/or voice recording (where permitted by law)
  • Purpose of your Revolut account
  • Gender (only where we are required by law to ask for this)
  • Place of birth (only where we are required by law to ask for this)
  • Occupation (only where we are required by law to ask for this)
  • Tax number and residency (only where we are required by law to ask for this)

We ask for these details when you try to open an account. You can see many of these details through the 'Profile' section of our app.

We ask for these details to verify your identity, protect you against fraud, and to be able to bring you our services securely.

To access certain products, like Credit, we may ask for more information or documentation. We'll always explain to you why we need this information when we ask you for it.
