Which addresses can I revert my deposit to?

Generally, you can revert deposits to any address that isn’t:

  • A Revolut address
  • The address you used to make the deposit from
  • Another Revolut customer’s address
  • An address on the same network as the one you used for your deposit

Certain addresses, including the one your deposit came from, will be blocked from receiving your deposit reversal. You’ll need to reverse the deposit to another account instead.

The compatibility of wallets and addresses depends on the cryptocurrency you are sending, as different cryptocurrencies have different address formats and standards.

Here are some supported wallets and addresses for receiving or reverting BTC, ETH, and ERC-20 tokens.

Bitcoin (BTC) address types:

  • Pay-to-Public-Key-Hash (P2PKH) addresses: starts with '1'
  • Pay-to-Script-Hash (P2SH) addresses: starts with '3'
  • Bech32 addresses: starts with 'bc1'

Ethereum (ETH) and ERC-20 wallet types:

  • Ethereum addresses: compatible with ETH and ERC-20 tokens
  • Address Format: hexadecimal format starting with '0x'

Before trying to revert an unsuccessful deposit, always make sure the address you’re using for the deposit to be reverted to is correct and compatible with receiving the cryptocurrency.
