How do I approve or reject my team members' requests?

What are approval processes?

If you're on a Grow, Scale, or Enterprise plan, you can set up custom approval processes to approve or reject requests from your team members. You can create approval processes for:

Approver actions

If you're responsible for approving requests, you can approve or reject them using these steps:

  1. Go to the 'Home' in the main menu and select 'Approval' (this will appear when you have pending requests)
  2. Click 'Approve' or 'Reject'
  3. If you choose 'Reject', you can add a comment to explain why

If you don't see the 'Approve' or 'Reject' buttons, it might be because you're not the named approver of the request, but you have the permissions to view requests. The named approver will be able to approve or reject the request.

What happens when you approve

  • Transfers — the money will leave the account as requested
  • Card requests — the new card or limit increase requested will be processed
  • Card expenses or reimbursements — the expense submitted will be marked as 'approved'

What happens when you reject

  • The transfer will be cancelled and the money won't leave the account 
  • Card requests or spend limit increases will be rejected 
  • Card expenses and reimbursements will be marked as 'rejected'
