Getting started with Instant Access Savings
Revolut customers in Germany can access individual Instant Access Savings. Instant Access Savings are available in the following currencies: EUR

Eligibility
Revolut customers in Germany must meet all of the following criteria:
- Lives in Germany
- Is a German tax resident
- Is a customer of the German branch of Revolut Bank UAB
As per product terms, no interest will be accrued and paid until we get your tax details (Tax Identification Number and church association information) from the central tax authority portal. It usually takes up to a few hours but might take a few days to get information from the tax portal.
Earning interest
The interest will start to accrue after we get your full tax details. However, if your name, DoB, or address aren't updated with BZSt, we won't be able to retrieve your details and offer you interest. In such cases, contact your local tax office (Finanzamt) to verify and update your records.
The net interest must at least be €0.01 before it can be paid. If it's less than this, it will continue to accrue until it reaches €0.01, and then interest will be paid. For more details about the tax on your Instant Access Savings, read this FAQ or visit the BZSt Online Portal (“BOP”).
There's no minimum deposit amount, but there's a maximum limit of 5,000,000 € for EUR. All your eligible deposits held with Revolut Bank UAB are insured by the Lithuanian Deposit Insurance scheme. More information can be found in the Deposit Insurance Information document.
How to access Instant Access Savings
- Go to 'Home' on the bottom menu
- Below your balance, tap Accounts
- Choose 'Add new'
- Select 'Savings & Funds'
- Tap 'Instant Access Savings'
- Follow the prompts to set up your account
