ETFs investment plans

What is an ETF investment plan?

An exchange-traded fund (ETF) investment plan is a feature that allows you to invest in selected ETFs on a recurring basis, helping you grow your investments over time automatically.

Our investment plans are available with ETFs (funds that bundle a diversified mix of companies or other assets together) spreading risk. To learn more about ETF types and benefits, read these FAQs in our Help Centre.

You can buy ETFs commission-free under the ETF investment plan, with recurring purchases staying commission-free even if you exceed your monthly limit. Other charges may apply, like ETF-related or currency exchange fees. Read this FAQ for full details on ETF costs.

Setting up an ETF investment plan

To create an ETF investment plan:

  • Go to 'Invest' on the bottom menu and tap 'Trade', or to 'Portfolio' if you're using the Revolut Invest app
  • Go to 'Collections'. If not visible, add the 'Collections' widget by tapping ‘Add widgets’ button at the bottom of the screen
  • Look for 'ETF investment plans'
  • If you're looking for a specific ETF, search its name or ISIN in the search bar or under the ETF product list
  • To confirm the ETF is part of the plan, check the asset details screen for the ‘ETF investment plan’ banner
  • Set the details of your recurring buy order on the eligible ETF investment plan

When are ETF investment plans executed?

Future orders will be placed one hour after the market opens. If the scheduled order falls on a non-trading day, the order will be executed the next trading day.

If you don't have enough funds in your investment account, the ETF purchase will fail, and the recurring buy will be cancelled.

You can enable auto top-ups. If you do this, we'll automatically transfer money from your main Revolut account to your investment account to fund your recurring buy orders.

Cancel an ETF investment plan

To cancel an investment plan at any time:

  • Go to 'Invest to learn more about the Invest app
  • Scroll to 'Orders'
  • Select the order you'd like to cancel
  • Tap 'Cancel'

If you change your mind, you'll need to set up a new plan.
