My transfer is pending

We aim to process transfers as quickly as possible. However, delays can happen due to several factors. The first things to do are:

  • Check your notifications: Look for alerts or action items in your Business account
  • Verify recipient details: Confirm all the recipient information is correct
  • Contact the account admin: They might see restrictions and already be in contact with Revolut Support

Transfer processing timeline

Here's what happens after you initiate a transfer:

  1. Initiation: You submit the transfer via the Revolut Business app
  2. Pending: We verify your transfer details and process it on our system. This typically takes up to 24 hours. Some transfers undergo additional reviews for regulatory or security purposes
  3. Completed: The transfer leaves Revolut and is processed by the recipient's bank. Intermediaries may be involved. Their timelines may vary. Check this FAQ to learn more

Common reasons for delays

Processing times:

  • International transfers can take up to 5 business days under normal circumstances
  • Delays may happen for transfers initiated during weekends or bank holidays in the receiving/sending country, as they'll be processed on the next business day. Some banks also don't process transactions on Fridays

Compliance and security checks:

  • To comply with financial regulations, certain transfers are subject to additional reviews
  • If we need more information, you'll receive a notification from us in-app. Provide the requested details promptly to avoid delays
  • Make sure your account isn't under any restrictions before initiating a transfer
  • If you're not the owner or admin of your Business account — check with them

Exceeded transfer limits: Exceeding your daily or monthly transfer limits may delay processing by up to 24 hours.

Recipient bank delays: After leaving Revolut, transfers are processed by the recipient's bank. Factors like different time zones, holidays in different countries, or bank-specific delays can affect the final delivery time.
