Revolut <18 payments
How do <18 payments work?
Revolut <18 accounts are sub-accounts of your personal account and don't have account details. Your child can send payments to other Revolut <18 users with the same base currency. However, they can't send payments to adult customers on the main app or receive regular bank transfers.
Enable payments in your child’s <18 app
- Go to 'Payments' on the bottom menu
- Tap 'Discover payments' and select 'Add phone number'
- Have your child enter their phone number and tap 'Continue'
- Tap 'Allow access to contact' for syncing
To send payments in your child’s <18 app
- Go to 'Payments' on the bottom menu
- Tap 'New' to select a recipient or choose one from the suggested section
- Enter the amount and add a note and/or a GIF
- Tap 'Send'
Transactions to unfamiliar recipients require approval from both you and the recipient.
Minimum age for Payments
Revolut <18 Payments is offered to children 13 years old and older. We also require the user’s phone number to be added to Revolut <18 to use the feature.
Based on your country, this can be done directly by your child at 13 years old and above. If they’re under 13, we’ll first ask for your consent for your child’s phone number to be added to enable this feature.
Revolut <18 payments are subject to account limits based on local T&Cs.
