Multi-currency IBAN

Why do I have the same IBAN for more than one currency account?

The reason you’re able to operate in multiple currencies once you open your Revolut account is because we offer a multi-currency IBAN, which is a single IBAN that can accept funds in many currencies.

When funds are received by us, we check the currency of the transfer, and place the money in the correct currency account associated with the IBAN, without doing any FX exchange. This way, we help you save money by minimising FX costs.

I need another IBAN

If you create a new account for the same currency, it will generate another IBAN. To learn how to create a new currency account, visit this FAQ in our Help section.
