Certification of proof documents

If documents provided can't be verified using an unpaid public source, then we may ask for certified documents. The following requirements must be met for the outlined certified document(s):

  • Your cap table must be certified as true content, signed, and dated within the last 12 months by one of these: a notary, an external qualified lawyer/solicitor/advocate, an EEA-incorporated law firm, an EEA-registered certified accountant, an external auditor, or an equivalent certifying officer
  • Modelo 200 must be provided with a verification code
  • Escrituras: certified as Copia Autorizada (not Copia Simple)
  • Acta de titularidad real (certificate of beneficial ownership): issued by a notary and certified as true content

E-signatures

Electronic or digitally signed documents must include:

  • The name of the signee
  • The date on which the electronic signature was added
  • A digital signature certificate or certificate number

Apostille certificate

An apostille is a certificate that authenticates the use of a document in different countries. The apostille is attached to the original document to verify its legitimacy and to authenticate it.

An apostille for your power of attorney is required only if you're not a director or beneficial owner and use it to prove your right to manage the company account.
