Proof of authority is a type of permission required from your business director for you to open and manage a Revolut Business account for the business.

If you're not a director of the business, we'll need to confirm your right to set up and manage the account in the business' name.

You can prove authority to open an account via representation established in a public register:

• An escritura de poder (power of attorney) document in the name of the applicant that gives authority to open a bank account, or a certificate of power of attorney extracted from the mercantile registry in the name of the applicant

If the director structure is mancomunados as per the escrituras de constitución (deed of incorporation) then a document giving consent to open and manage the account will be required from one of the other directors who is a joint administrator of the business.

This document should give consent to the applicant for opening and managing the account and should be signed by the other director giving the consent. Notarisation is not required for this document to be accepted.

The verification process can take up to 5 business days. After this timeframe, if you haven't received an email notifying you that your verification is completed, check the home screen to make sure there's no request for additional information.
