Freeze a card

If you've lost your card, suspect it was compromised, or notice suspicious transactions, freezing your card can protect your money and account. It prevents unauthorised use and allows us to investigate the problem.

Freeze your card

In the Revolut mobile app:

  1. Go to 'Home' on the bottom menu
  2. Tap the card icon in the top-right corner
  3. Choose the card you wish to freeze
  4. Tap 'Freeze'

While the card is frozen, any card payments attempted with this card will fail. To unfreeze the card, tap 'Unfreeze' by following the same steps you used to freeze it.

Alternative way in the Revolut mobile app:

  1. Tap your profile icon in the top-left corner
  2. Select 'Security' and 'Lost card'
  3. Select a card and tap 'Freeze'

In the Revolut web app:

  1. Go to the 'Home' screen
  2. Tap the cards icon in the top-right corner
  3. Choose the card you wish to freeze
  4. Click 'Freeze'
