Can I make tax payments through Revolut Business?

Can I use my Revolut Business account to pay my AEAT taxes?

You can use your Revolut account to pay taxes directly on the Agencia Estatal de Administración Tributaria (AEAT) website. You can pay by bank transfer by selecting the option ‘Pago con cargo a cuenta’, or by card by selecting ‘Pago con tarjeta’.

You can choose to pay instantly or defer your payment to a later date. The deferral option isn't available for all tax types. To pay instantly:

  • Select ‘Pago con cargo a cuenta’
  • Enter your Revolut IBAN
  • The payment will occur in a few minutes

Scheduling AEAT payment for a later date

  • Select ‘Pago con cargo a cuenta’ and ‘Domiciliación’
  • Enter your Revolut IBAN and select the date of payment
  • The amount will be debited from your account on the scheduled date

Why did my payment to the AEAT fail?

Payments often fail for one of these two reasons:

  • Insufficient balance: if the balance in your Revolut account isn't enough to cover the full amount, payment will fail
  • Invalid TIN: if the TIN (Tax Identification Number) entered on the AEAT website doesn't match the TIN saved in your Revolut for Business account, payment will fail

How to pay taxes on the AEAT website by card

  • Select ‘Pago con tarjeta’
  • You'll receive a summary of the payment details you're about to make to the AEAT, including the amount, date, and model, and other details
  • Enter your card number and any other requested information and follow the instructions. Once you've made your payment, return to the AEAT website
  • If everything is correct, you'll see the assigned NRC on the screen. This is a 22-character code generated as proof of payment for online submissions
