Switching to a Spanish IBAN

Revolut is launching a Spanish branch, which means that customers living in Spain will migrate to the Spanish branch and will receive a Spanish IBAN.

With a Spanish IBAN, your Revolut account will now be even better suited for use as a primary account to:

  • Get your salary paid directly into Revolut
  • Make payments via Direct Debit
  • Avoid the additional paperwork required for non-Spanish IBANs
  • Pay utility providers directly from your Revolut account

To be eligible, you'll need to have the required documentation and your country of residence needs to be Spain. If you're eligible, you'll receive a communication from us regarding the Spanish IBAN.

Existing customers, including Joint Account and Revolut Pro customers, will be migrated to the Spanish branch and receive Spanish IBANs in phases about two months after receiving the notification email, while new customers will onboard directly on the Spanish branch.
