The merchant charged me incorrectly

If you notice an error in the amount you've been charged, here are some things to consider:

Check your transaction history once more

Double check that the price you paid (the actual transaction amount taken from your account) doesn’t match the receipt you received or the price you were supposed to pay.

Pending transactions

If the transaction is still pending, it’s possible that it’ll be adjusted to the correct price before it’s completed.

Reach out to the merchant

Reaching out to the merchant directly is usually the quickest way to resolve an incorrect payment, which they should be able to resolve or explain.

Still unable to resolve the error with the merchant?

If you don't recognise the charge at all, and the merchant hasn’t been able to help you resolve the issue, you can start a chargeback process.

The chargeback process can take some time, and this is why we recommend reaching out to the merchant first.

To start the chargeback process:

  1. Go to your transactions
  2. Tap 'Get help'
  3. Choose the most relevant option and follow the steps to begin the chargeback process
