Getting started with everyday protection insurance
Revolut everyday protection insurance is a benefit of Plus, Premium, Metal, and Ultra plans. The insurance includes purchase protection, refund protection, and event ticket cancellation protection.
Not every incident is covered under everyday protection insurance. Make sure your item or event fits the criteria outlined in the terms and conditions to ensure it’s covered.
What’s covered under everyday protection insurance
Purchase protection offers cover for repair or replacement costs if an item bought with your Revolut account is stolen or accidentally damaged. Further details can be found on our Everyday Protection Page.
Refund protection offers cover when you want to return an item bought with your Revolut account, and the retailer refuses. To be eligible, the item must be unused and purchased within the last 90 days. Further details can be found in this Refund Protection FAQ.
Event ticket cancellation protection offers cover if you're unable to attend an event due to specific unforeseen circumstances, as outlined in the terms and conditions. Further details can be found in Ticket Cancellation FAQ.
What are the conditions and limitations?
- Cover is only for new items purchased from authorised retailers, not private sellers
- Mobile phone coverage is limited to a single claim per year
- Items must be paid for in full using your Revolut account. Items bought through instalment plans, or a non-Revolut account, aren't covered
- Cover excludes pre-owned or refurbished items
- Eligible purchases made with your Revolut account are automatically covered according to the terms and conditions. Therefore, no purchase declaration is necessary
Everyday protection insurance doesn't cover transportation issues. Therefore, the coverage doesn't extend to lost or non-delivered items, or items that are broken or defective upon delivery.
