How do I amend a booking?
Property Cancellation & Amendment policies
The property's cancellation policy will tell you what happens if you cancel or amend your booking. You can view the property's cancellation policy when you choose a property to book, before booking it. After the booking is confirmed, you can access this information in-app via Hub > Stays > My Bookings.
Changing dates of a booking
To change the dates of your booking, the recommended (and fastest) way is to cancel your existing booking and rebook it on the app. You can also change the dates of your booking by navigating to Hub > Stays > My Bookings, tapping 'manage your booking', then selecting 'change dates'. This will take you to a form enabling you to provide the details of the change you'd like to make. This will start a chat with our customer support team, who will be able to confirm the financial implications of the change with you and process it for you. If you're on the app, you can also fill in the 'change dates' form shown below.
Changing guest details of a booking
You can change the guest details of your booking by filling in the form provided below this question (only available in-app), which will start a chat with our customer support team, who will be able to process the change for you. You can also start a new chat through the 'help' section of the app, but filling in the form is the faster option. If you're on the web, navigate to the 'help' section of your app to change the guest details on a booking. It is not possible to change the e-mail address once the booking is confirmed.
Changing room type of a booking
To change the room type of your booking, the recommended (and fastest) way is to cancel your existing booking and rebook it on the app. You can also change the room type of your booking by filling in the form provided below this question (only available in-app), which will start a chat with our customer support team. They will then be able to process the change for you. You can also start a new chat through the help section of the app, but filling in the form is the faster option. If you're on the web, navigate to the help section of your app to change the room type.
Changing property of a booking
To change the property of a booking, you'll need to cancel your existing booking and rebook it on the app.
Refunds, additional payments and cashback
You can earn more or less cashback depending on how you amend your booking.
If your amended booking results in a lower price, and you made a 'pay now' booking (paying the full amount when you booked), you'll receive a partial refund, and Revolut will take back a part of the instant cashback that was paid to you. If it results in a higher price, you'll be required to pay the difference, and will receive additional instant cashback. For 'pay at property' bookings, there's no need to process refunds when you amend your booking.
VRBO Properties
For VRBO properties, you can request to change the dates, room, number of guests, or your check-out time by clicking on the link in your VRBO booking confirmation email. This link will redirect you to a VRBO website page, where you can manage your booking directly with VRBO’s support team. VRBO’s support team will manage any changes to your booking directly with you without our involvement. If you want to request to change VRBO properties entirely, you may need to cancel your original booking and book your preferred VRBO property through the app. VRBO’s support team will confirm what steps you need to take when you speak to them through the VRBO website.
