Adding fiscal info via the Revolut POS web portal
To comply with French tax regulations, all merchants must complete fiscal mandatory information before purchasing a Revolut Terminal. This includes your business's SIRET number, SIREN, VAT number and other details required for automatic tax reporting.
French law mandates that payment terminals transmit transaction data to the DGFiP (tax authorities). Revolut uses partner EFTA to handle this seamlessly, with no manual filing needed once set up.
You remain fully responsible for handling any tax filings or payments to authorities.
Revolut Business account verification
When enabling Revolut POS via the web portal, verify your SIREN, city, and VAT number in the Merchant tab. If correct, select 'Continue'. If incorrect, click the data to edit. This will take you to the Revolut Business platform to make changes. Submit for review and wait for approval.
VAT number is mandatory for all businesses under local tax rules, even if you don't charge VAT on sales, to ensure proper tax reporting compliance. You can't select 'Business is not VAT registered'. Check your registration documents or official company directory to find it.
Fiscal information and accepting EFTA terms
Once your Revolut Business account is approved, you'll be prompted to enter any remaining fiscal details required for compliance. Carefully review and accept the EFTA terms & conditions to authorise our trusted partner to handle your tax reporting.
EFTA will then automatically validate all your submitted data against the official French registry to ensure accuracy and full regulatory compliance.
Setting up locations and product VAT rates
Add SIRET numbers to your existing business locations, or create new location profiles and assign their respective SIRET numbers.
For any products that don't yet have tax rates assigned, you'll need to edit each one individually and link the appropriate VAT rate preset by local authorities.
Once everything is set up, your Revolut POS account is fully enabled. Any pending device orders will ship automatically, and you can immediately start processing fully compliant transactions.
