Receiving French social benefits on Revolut
How do I receive my CAF benefits on Revolut?
You can have your Caisse d'allocations familiales (CAF) benefits paid directly into your Revolut account.
Simply copy your French IBAN by tapping Details on your EUR account screen in the app and register it in your online personal space on the CAF website. By law, French social organisations must accept your Revolut account details.
When will my CAF benefit payment arrive?
CAF transfers are not instant because they are sent via the standard SEPA Credit Transfer network, which can take up to 2 working days to arrive to your account.
The CAF generally makes its payments around the 5th of each month. If the 5th falls on a weekend or a public holiday, the payment date is adjusted to the nearest working day.
Since weekends and public holidays are not working days, wait up to 2 working days after the official issue date for your funds to arrive.
Can Revolut track or speed up my pending transfer?
No, Revolut has no visibility over your transfer until it arrives in our system. We cannot track, locate, or speed up the processing of a transfer that is currently in transit on the interbank network.
As soon as the funds reach us, they are immediately credited to your account, and you will receive an automatic push notification.
What should I do if my payment is missing?
- Log into your personal space on the CAF website and check that no alerts or requests for missing supporting documents are blocking the payment of your benefits
- Check the Revolut app to make sure there are no identity verification banners requiring action, as incomplete checks can sometimes cause a received transfer to be held as pending
- If your online CAF file is up to date and the 2-working-day window has passed, contact the CAF directly by calling 3230 to request a trace, as only the sending institution can request a trace for missing funds with their bank
