Who's a financially vulnerable customer?

As per our regulatory requirements, Revolut has a system to identify financially vulnerable retail customers using the indicators below. A customer will be deemed financially vulnerable if they earn a low income (between €500 and €1500 deposited to their account per month) and there are:

  • at least 15 payment incidents and/or irregularities in the operation of the account for three consecutive months
  • at least five payment incidents and/or irregularities in the operation of the account during the same month

Examples of payment incidents include failed card payments or transactions due to insufficient balance.

Another criteria

  • Admissible filing of a request for over-indebtedness with the Over-Indebtedness Commission pursuant to Article L. 331-3-1 of the Consumer Code

If we find that your situation matches at least one of the criteria set out above, you'll be considered to be financially vulnerable. We'll then extend a specific offer to you that’s dedicated to financially vulnerable customers.
