Add money with Apple Pay or Google Pay

How to add money with Apple Pay or Google Pay

In the Revolut app:

  1. Go to 'Home' on the bottom menu and tap 'Add money'
  2. Set the currency to your card's local currency to avoid exchange fees from your external bank
  3. Enter the deposit amount
  4. Tap 'Change' if Apple Pay or Google Pay isn't already selected
  5. Choose 'Apple Pay' or 'Google Pay'
  6. Tap 'Pay'

If you need the money you've added in a different currency, you can exchange it in-app after you have topped up.

We don't support deposits from all cards, countries, and currencies. Learn more about the cards we support in this FAQ.

Difficulty adding money with Apple Pay or Google Pay

In case of problems when trying to add money with Apple Pay or Google Pay, make sure you're not trying to use a Revolut card to add money (it might be set as the default card in your digital wallet). If the problem persists, we recommend contacting your external bank.

If your card isn't available for the Apple Pay or Google Pay top-up, add it to Revolut as a top-up card directly. If this works, it means the card is supported, and you can contact Apple or Google support for help with setting it up in your mobile wallet (Apple Pay or Google Pay).

To find out more about why a deposit didn't work, tap the failed deposit in your transactions.

Reverting an Apple Pay or Google Pay deposit

There's no option to revert a completed top-up. The fastest way to get the top-up back to the account it came from is to transfer the money you topped up with back to your external bank directly from your Revolut account. You can read about how to do that in this FAQ.

If your top-up is pending, you won't be able to send it back until it's completed.
