What is a trusted recipient and how can I 'un-trust' one?

When you pay a recipient for the first time, we add them to a list of counterparties that you know, and automatically consider them 'trusted recipients.' So, in subsequent transactions, payments to this recipient won't need two-factor authentication, except when transfers exceed certain limits.

To un-trust a recipient:

  • Go to the 'Payments' tab
  • Select the counterparty, or click 'See all' and search for the counterparty
  • On the selected counterparty's profile, click on their account details
  • Disable 'Trust this recipient'

Once you've untrusted a recipient, payments to them will always require two-factor authentication. You can enable the 'trusted recipient' setting again at any time.
