New Hungarian special transaction fee

What is the Hungarian special transaction fee?

We’re introducing a new transaction fee to offset the operational cost of joining the local payment scheme, and to align our fees with the average market conditions of similar services provided in Hungary based on product characteristics.

How much is the fee, and what does it apply to?

The fee applies to outgoing payments like local and international transfers, Direct Debits, card transfers, and currency exchanges. You'll pay 0.45% of the transaction amount, capped at 20,000 Ft per transaction.

This fee won't apply to Revolut-to-Revolut transfers, Direct Debits, and exchanges at least until 31 December 2027. If this ever changes, we'll give you at least 2 months' notice.

When will the new fee apply?

The new transaction fee will apply only once your Revolut Business account has been migrated to our Hungarian branch (Revolut Bank UAB Hungarian Branch). Until your account is migrated, your current fees stay the same.

We'll give you at least 2 months' notice before this happens, so you'll know in advance when the special fee starts.

What do I need to do?

You don't need to do anything. We'll consider that you accept these changes unless you tell us otherwise. If you don't agree with these updates, you can close your account at any time at no cost.
