How can we help?

Why was I charged a fee for my transfer?

Please select the country in which your Revolut user agreement was signed prior to using our FAQs, terms may differ depending on your region.

There are no transfer fees for transferring money to other Revolut users or non-Revolut accounts in the SEPA region. For international payments outside the SEPA region, customers can send fee-free payments up to a prescribed allowance.

Revolut applies a HUF 150 fee for Standard customers (after exceeding monthly free allowance for Standard users) for transfers in the currency of the recipient country (for example, sending USD to the USA). This fee does not apply to Premium or Metal customers, who get unlimited, free cross-border transfers.

For transfers with currencies different to that of the beneficiary country (for example sending USD to Brazil), there will be a fee of HUF 1000 for USD SWIFT transfers and HUF 2000 for non-USD SWIFT transfers (for example sending GBP to Brazil).

Premium and Metal customers receive one free SWIFT transfer every rolling month. The beneficiary bank may charge a fee to receive your transfer. When your money is in transit, it may be processed by an intermediary bank, which may also apply a handling fee. This means the amount received could be less than the amount you sent.

Exchange fees may also apply to your international transfers to Revolut customers and non-customers. You can send up to Ft 350,000 each month without exchange fees. You’ll see a 0.5% fee applied if exceeding this threshold, but you can upgrade to Revolut Premium or Revolut Metal today to transfer unlimited funds globally, with no foreign exchange fees. Fees apply to exchanges in uncommon currencies or outside of market hours.
