What is the new transaction fee?

As Revolut prepares to launch its Hungarian Branch, we are introducing a new transaction fee to comply with local tax regulations (covering the Financial Transaction Tax).

While you may see this fee listed in our terms and conditions, good news: you do not have to pay it yet.

Why are we introducing it?

To ensure fair and equal pricing for all customers during this transition period, Revolut has decided to fully waive (discount 100%) this fee until Revolut Bank UAB Magyarországi Fióktelepe fully launches and all customers are migrated.

When will the fee apply?

The waiver will automatically end once the full migration to the Hungarian Branch is complete (we will notify you of the exact date). Once active, the fee structure will be:

  • 0.45% applied only to the amount above 50,000 Ft per transaction
  • Capped at a maximum of 20,000 Ft per transaction
  • Paid plans (Premium, Metal, and Ultra) will include generous fee-free allowances
