Company cards

Company cards are issued in your company’s name rather than in yours or your team member's name. Company cards are typically used for business payments made for your company, such as supplier or marketing payments.

Company card contacts

When creating a company card you'll be asked to select card contacts. Card contacts are able to use the company card details to make payments. Some rules about card contacts include:

  • Only a cards manager or admin can manage card contacts
  • A company card can have up to 5 card contacts
  • Card contacts can be changed anytime
  • Once a card contact is removed, they lose access to the card

If a team member is the sole card contact and leaves the Business account, the person with the Owner role becomes the default card contact.

Payment authentication

When a card contact is asked to authenticate an online payment, they'll need to select which card contact should receive and confirm the 3D Secure (3DS) request. This can only be done when there are multiple card contacts.
