Spare change round ups

How do spare change round ups work?

With spare change round ups, we automatically round up your transactions and transfer the difference into your chosen Revolut Pocket or Instant Access Savings, or to purchase cryptocurrencies or earn RevPoints. If you've enabled spare change to contribute towards RevPoints, it will need to be deactivated if you choose to switch it back to a Pocket or Instant Access Savings.

To enable or disable your spare change towards RevPoints in the Revolut mobile app:

  1. Go to 'RevPoints' on the bottom menu
  2. Tap the RevPoints icon in the top-right corner
  3. Under 'How you earn' enable or disable the 'Spare change' toggle as desired

Rounding rules vary depending on the currency:

  • PLN and RON: rounded to the nearest multiple of 5
  • CZK, DKK, NOK, SEK, and ZAR: rounded to the nearest multiple of 10
  • HUF and JPY: rounded to the nearest multiple of 100
  • All other supported currencies: transactions are rounded to the nearest whole number

Enable or disable spare change in Pockets or Instant Access Savings

In the Revolut mobile app:

  1. Go to 'Home' on the bottom menu
  2. Below your balance, tap 'Accounts'
  3. Choose your Pocket or Instant Access Savings
  4. Scroll down and enable or disable the 'Spare change' toggle as desired

You’ll see an option to accelerate your round ups by x1, x2, x3, x4, x5, and x10. This means you can increase your spare change contributions to save even quicker. Round ups are applied to all transactions made using any card linked to your account, even virtual cards.
