Am I eligible for Google Pay?
Supported countries
Google Pay is available to customers in the below countries:
Europe: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, Ukraine.
Rest of the world: Australia, Brazil, Japan, Mexico, Singapore, US.
Supported devices
Your Android device needs to support NFC (near-field communication) and HCE (host card emulation) to be compatible with Google Pay.
To find out whether your device will work with Google Pay, go to 'Settings' on your device and select 'Wireless & networks'. Tap 'More' and if you see NFC appear, your device will be able to make Google Pay payments in stores.
Eligibility requirements
To be able to use Google Pay, you need to:
- Have passed identity verification
- Have no negative balance on your account
- Use a non-disposable (physical or virtual) card
- Be the minimum age required to use Google Pay in your country
