Credit card instalment plans

What are Credit Card instalment plans?

This feature allows eligible customers to split eligible credit card purchases into 3, 6, 9, or 12 instalments after a purchase is completed.

To split your transaction into instalments, it must be:

  • Purchase-only (meaning no cash or cash-like transactions, no transfers, interest, or fees)
  • Over €50
  • Carried out and completed in the current month (the transaction can't be in a pending state)
  • Not a high-risk transaction (such as gambling)

Customer eligibility requirements

  • Have an active Revolut Credit Card
  • Not be in arrears on any Revolut Credit products
  • Not be part of any active forbearance arrangement

Fees and limits

There’s no fee for setting up an instalment plan. You can cancel or repay the plan early at any time and with no additional fee.

There’s no limit on the number of instalment plans you can have. However, creating an instalment plan doesn’t increase your available credit card or spending limit. Once you’ve paid off your instalment plans, your credit limit will increase again based on the amount you’ve repaid.

The principal amount — or the amount of the original transaction you split up — will remain as a reduction in your credit card limit until the instalment plan is paid off in full.‌ Interest will accrue on your active instalment amount daily, until it’s fully repaid or cancelled.

How to set up an instalment plan

  • Go to ‘Home’ on the bottom menu, below your balance and tap ‘Accounts’
  • Select your credit card
  • Scroll down and select ‘Instalment plans’
  • Tap ‘New’ in the top-right corner
  • Choose an eligible transaction or transactions
  • Review and confirm your plan

You can also tap any transaction with the ‘instalments available’ banner on it and create your instalment plan from there.
