Issues with Pay Later transactions
Refunds sent to your Pay Later account
Full refund
We’ll cancel the instalment plan and refund the paid principal and fee to your Revolut account in the main currency, which will update your Pay Later balance.
Partial refund, exceeding the amount left to repay
We'll deduct it from your balance and refund the difference to your Revolut account, close the instalment plan, and update your Pay Later balance.
Partial refund below the amount left to repay
We'll deduct it from your balance, evenly distribute the remaining balance across upcoming instalments, and update your Pay Later balance accordingly.
Refund made to an external payment method
Refunds made to an external payment method won't be processed automatically. You'll need to continue adhering to the repayment schedule as planned.
Unlinked refunds
In rare cases, the merchant may issue a refund that won't be linked to the initial transaction, so Revolut might not be able to link the refund to your Pay Later plan. You're responsible for making repayments according to the schedule.
All changes to the plans associated with refunds will be processed as soon as we learn about them. Any extra payments will be refunded to your main account.
Cancelled, failed, or reverted transactions
If your transaction with the merchant has failed, or has been reverted or cancelled, we'll review and cancel the respective Pay Later plan overnight. Any payments made towards your Pay Later balance will be returned to your main account the morning after an unsuccessful transaction.
