Accepted proof of address documents
We accept a variety of documents to verify your residential address. All documents must meet the criteria outlined in this FAQ in our Help Centre.
Utility bills
- Electricity or gas invoices
- Water bills
- Landline internet bills
- Landline or mobile phone bills
Residential documents
- Rent receipt issued by a social organisation or a real estate agency
- Official university letters including your address
- Housing rent or lease contract and monthly rent statement
Bank and insurance documents
- Monthly statements
- Account opening confirmations
- Car or home insurance policy documents
- Correspondence from financial institutions, e.g. letters stating rate changes in deposits or loans. This document must be signed by an official representative or manager of the institution
Government-issued documents
- Tax Credit Certificate (TCC)
- Statement of Liability (previously P21) from Revenue
- Letter of tax residence from Revenue
- Local Property Tax (LPT) statement
- Letter from the Department of Social Protection
- Motor tax documentation
- Long-stay visa serving as residence permit issued by the Irish government
