Getting started with Wealth Protection

As an extra layer of protection, Revolut allows you to set up biometric authentication for outgoing transfers or withdrawals from your investments, savings, crypto, Pockets, or main balance.

Wealth Protection is disabled by default, but once enabled, we’ll ask for biometric authentication when you make a transfer or withdrawal over your chosen limit from your selected balances or assets.

Manage Wealth Protection

To activate Wealth Protection in the Revolut app:

  • Tap your profile icon in the top-left corner
  • Select 'Security' and Wealth Protection
  • Tap 'Agree' and follow the steps. You'll be able to choose which investments or balances are protected

To disable this feature, tap the active option and then tap 'Remove' on the next screen.

Street Mode

You can also add Street Mode to the Wealth Protection feature. Street Mode protects your money when you’re on the move. It delays transfers over your limits when you’re away from trusted locations, and asks for extra confirmation after that delay, to make sure you’re in control.

Street Mode is disabled by default. To enable it:

  • Tap your profile icon in the top-left corner
  • Select 'Security', 'Wealth Protection', and 'Transfers'
  • Enable the 'Street Mode' toggle
  • Follow the steps to enable location-based protection and set up your 'Trusted locations'

How Street Mode works

Once active, if you make a transfer over your Wealth Protection limit away from a trusted location:

  • We’ll ask for biometric authentication, then delay that transfer by either 30 minutes, 1 hour, or 6 hours, according to your security delay settings
  • After, we’ll ask for a second authentication to confirm the transfer. You’ll have 1 hour to complete the second confirmation after the security delay
