Return or manage crypto deposits

Returning crypto deposits

There are a few reasons why Revolut might not accept a crypto deposit:

  • Depositing from an unsupported exchange (read this FAQ to find out which exchanges are unsupported)
  • Depositing from an unsupported wallet address (e.g. an address associated with illegal on-chain activities)
  • Not providing additional information about a deposit, in cases where this is requested

How to return a deposit

If you need to revert a deposit, you'll be notified in-app. Navigate to the transaction and begin the revert process through the banner on the transaction details.

Follow the steps and ensure the wallet address you want to revert to corresponds to the correct asset and is on the correct network.

To initiate a return:

  1. Go to 'Crypto' on the bottom menu
  2. Scroll to your transactions list or select the crypto you deposited
  3. Find your deposit transaction and tap on it
  4. Follow the steps of the flow
  5. Pick one of your existing wallets or enter a new one to revert

Your funds may be lost if:

  • The address is not compatible with the selected cryptocurrency or is on a different network from the original deposit
  • You reuse an address previously used for a crypto withdrawal without verifying it or use a random address provided by others

  • You can review the status of the reverted transaction in the transactions list

Returning the deposit failed

Sending your funds back might have failed due to issues with the address you provided. For instance, we do not allow returns to addresses associated with illegal on-chain activities. In such cases, you will need to attempt the return again using a different address.

Cancelling crypto deposits

Deposits into your account can't be cancelled. However, you can sell, transfer, or potentially withdraw the cryptocurrency received. Any applicable fees will be visible in-app before any transaction is completed.
